Mas-Ud Didi Dramani have said he resigned from his position as coach of Black Queens of Ghana on mutual consent amid media reports.

It had been earlier reported that the 51 years old trainer left the Black Queens job because of a misunderstanding between the coaching crew and some technical members of the Ghana Football Association.

But the former Asante Kotoko gaffer have dismissed the claims, while stating he had discussed with the GFA before quitting his post.

"I left the job with peace, we had a fruitful discussion before leaving. I believe it's a great opportunity to upgrade myself in the profession," Dramani is quoted saying on Ghanaian local radio station Happy FM.

His departure will serve as a huge blow to Ghana's Black Queens who will compete in next month's maiden West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Women's Cup in Côte d'Ivoire.

Ghana have been pitted in Group A along with hosts Côte d'Ivoire, Niger Republic and Burkina Faso in the competition billed for home-based players.

The championship will be played from 14 to 24 February in three stadia namely Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium, the Robert Champroux stadium and the Parc des Sports.
