South African coach Maude Khumalo has not conceded defeat despite her side's 2-0 loss to Nigeria in last Saturday's 2018 FIFA U20 Women World Cup qualifier.
Khumalo watched from the dugout as strikes from Rasheedat Ajibade and Anam Imo blew Basetsana away at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Nevertheless, the former Banyana Banyana player believes her side's mental toughness can help overturn the defeat in the return fixture in Benin City in two weeks time.
"We are going to Nigeria knowing that we are two goals down. But we won't sit back and keep on playing our game and give our best to get those goals," she told reporters after the match.
"We are going to give our best, go all out and we need to fight till the end because there is no turning back. It is a pity that we conceded goals at home which was not our dreams coming into the game.
"I am happy with the performance of the girls despite we couldn't get those goals and prevent them from scoring. We also needed to play so that we can score."
She and her girls will hoping to cause an upset in the second leg on January 27 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in an attempt to reach a first-ever U20 women's world finals.
The overall winners will qualify as one of Africa's representatives in the mundial set to be staged in France from the 5th to 24th of August, 2018.
