Nigerian striker Isaac Success has joined Spanish strugglers Malaga on loan from Watford until the end of the current season.

Success was a club record signing when he completed a transfer to Watford from Granada two years ago for £12.5m, but he struggled to make an impact at the club.

The 22-year-old who scored once in 20 appearances for the Hornets, failed to impressive former coaches Walter Mazzarri and Marco Silva, having been hit by injuries.

He was wanted by a number of unnamed Championship clubs but he settled for a move to Spain where he will team up with his countryman Brown Ideye at Malaga.

The Nigeria international will also work with his former boss Jose Gonzalez who coached him at Granada before he moved to England.
