Midfielder Elizabeth Addo has been left out of Ghana's squad for this month's West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Women's Cup in Côte d'Ivoire.

Interim coach of Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has named a team of 21 players which consists of three goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and four strikers.

Addo who recently became a Seattle Reign FC player, was excused by Ghana so she can complete her transfer to the American club from Swedish outfit Kvarnsveden.

The Black Queens squad is a mixture of the team that featured at the 2016 Africa Women's Cup of Nations in Cameroon and as well as players from the U20 national side.

They departed Accra for Abidjan yesterday, with their opening game against hosts Côte d'Ivoire billed for Wednesday, February 14 at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium.

Ghana will also play Niger Republic and Burkina Faso in Group A of the maiden edition of the sub-regional women's game slated between the 14th and 24th of this month.
