Abia Angels on Sunday, 29th April 2018, were crowned champions of the second edition of the Ali National Female Super 4 Competition after defeating Abia Queens by a lone goal at the Ogbor Hill Primary School Field in Abia.

The game started on a strong note with both sides trying their respective goalkeepers. Abia Angels came close to scoring as early as the 10th minute of the encounter through Nwamaka Nnaneme but Abia Queens Goalkeeper made a fantastic save.

 The Angels from the East broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when a lovely pass from Chiamaka Okwuchukwu connected to the Captain of Abia Angels, Ojiugo Godson who calmly slotted home to score her first goal of the competition.

 Abia Queens not wanting to go down without a fight tried to equalise the game but a resilient Abia Angels did not quiver and held on to their lone goal to cart away the trophy and the grand prize of N50,000.

Abigail Sunday of Abia Angels won the highest goalscorer with two goals and was presented with a beautiful boot.

Goodness Emmanuel of De Lioness FC won the best keeper and was presented with a lovely Glove while Uloma Emenike also of De Lioness FC emerged the Most Valuable Player of the Competition.
