Nigeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Egypt and Morocco have been financially boosted by the world football governing body, FIFA ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The five African teams will each receive an advance of $2m of their prize money from FIFA towards their readiness to the global event.
This decision comes on the heels negotiations between CAF's president Ahmad Ahmad and FIFA administration, leading to the expectional agreement granted on the 12th of April.
And it follows a decision by CAF Emergency Committee on December 1, 2017 and ratified by CAF Executive Committee 10 January 2018 to provide expectional support to the five African nations in preparing for the mundial.
"This agreement, for an advance on the financial allocation by FIFA, aims to allow representatives in World Cups to have a harmonious preparation and to settle beforehand the question of bonuses due the players, which in the previous editions of the competitions has led to situations that affected badly the image of African football, with a considerable impact on team performances," said CAF President Ahmad.
The five African representatives have been directed to contact the FIFA Financial Division in that regard, according to the report on CAF's official website.
