The victorious D'Tigress team have been rewarded by the country's president, Muhammadu Buhari for winning the 2017 FIBA Women's AfroBasket in Bamako, Mali.

Each players of the team got N1million, while officials were given N500,000 each for their success in Mali after they defeated Senegal 65-48 in the final last Sunday.

They were received at the council chambers before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday in Abuja.

Nigeria will now shift their attentions to next year's FIBA Women's World Cup in Spain, where them and Senegal will represent Africa.
