Coach of Super Eagles home-based side Salisu Yusuf has named goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, midfielder Rabiu Aliu, in-form talisman Anthony Okpotu and 15 others for this month's West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations championship for senior national teams to be held in Ghana.
Forward Kingsley Eduwo who netted in Nigeria's 2-0 defeat of Benin Republic in Kano last month to qualify for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) is also included alongside defender Osas Okoro, midfielder Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and striker Ubong Friday.
Nigeria will do battle against Sierra Leone in the first round of the event, which is a knockout, before eight teams emerges for a group stage finals, with the competition slated for 9th - 24th of September.
Also in Group A, hosts Ghana will face The Gambia, Mali takes on Mauritania, whilst Guinea are up against Guinea Bissau.
Group B has Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Cape Verde, Liberia, Niger Republic, Senegal and Burkina Faso, with all matches to be played in Tarkordi and Cape Coast.
