Coach Evans Adotey is not carried away by Ghana's resounding defeat of Gambia in their second round, first leg 2018 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifier.

Mukarama Abdulai netted four times and a goal from Nina Norshie earned Ghana's Black Maidens a 5-1 win over their opponents from Gambia at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Nevertheless, coach Adotey have warned that the Gambian team should not be underrated ahead of their visit (second leg) to Ghana in two weeks time.

''It is not all over yet because I play against a good side and I will not underrate them [The Gambia].

"My selection was based on scouting from the leagues and inter-school football competitions."

The former Medeama SC manager went on to shower praise on his girls for their five-star football performance in defeating their hosts.

"I'm proud of my players because we kept our ambition of securing a victory,'' Adotey said in a post-interview.

The eventual winners will go on to face Djibouti in the final stage of the qualifiers for a spot in the competition taking place in Uruguay from November 13 to December 1, 2018.
