Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa has rejoined CSKA Moscow on loan from Premier League side Leicester City for the remainder of the campaign.

Musa, 25, who was overlooked by coach Claude Puel since the season began, returns to CSKA where he made a name for himself during his first spell.

The Nigeria international joined the Foxes in a club record fee of £16m in July 2016 but failed to live up to expectations at Leicester, scoring five times in 33 matches.

His move to the Russian topside is to increase his chances of making it to the 2018 FIFA World Cup with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

CSKA Moscow through an official statement revealed that he will play for them in their domestic league and Europa League knockout phase.

"Ahmed will be included in the Red-Blues' squad list for the national league and the Europa League knockout stage," said a CSKA statement on Tuesday.
