Nigerian striker Brown Ideye will turn out for Spanish topflight side Malaga for the rest of the current term following his loan move from Tianjin Teda.
Ideye joins Malaga after underwhelming debut campaign in the Chinese Super League where he managed to net four goals in 14 league appearances.
The 29-year-old moved to China in February 2017 from Olympiakos, having found the net 23 times in 44 league matches across two seasons in Greece.
He will be hoping to help the White and Sky Blue survive relegation with a view of bolstering his chances of making it to the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Nigeria's Super Eagles.
“Málaga CF have signed Brown Ideye on loan until the end of the season, from the Chinese clubTianjin Teda," Malaga wrote on their official website.
"The striker has already passed the relevant medical examination at the Vithas Salud Rincon Medical Center Rosaleda.
"Aide Brown Ideye, born in Nigeria on October 10, 1988 (29 years old), is a powerful striker and scorer with extensive experience in several European leagues."
Ideye who has played for clubs in Nigeria, Switzerland, France, Ukraine, England; has six goals in 28 outings for Super Eagles, with whom he won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has also won the Super League with Olympiakos as well as a Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup titles with Dynamo Kyiv.
