Swedish women's topside Eskilstuna United have announced the signing of Nigeria international Ngozi Okobi on a one-year deal.

Okobi joins Eskilstuna from Vittsjo GIK following the expiration of her contract, having had an impressive two seasons at her former side.

The 24-year-old who hit the net three times in 42 appearances for Vittsjo becomes the latest acquisition of coach Johan Bennäs prior to the new term with Eskilstuna.

The Super Falcons midfielder told the club's official website how excited she is to have signed for the team and what she hopes to achieve with the them.

"I look very much forward to coming to Eskilstuna, which is a top club. The team wants to play good football and keep the ball within the team," Okobi said on Eskilstunaunited.se

"My goal is, of course, to be an even better player and to help the team to as good a position as possible in the league. I've also played in Washington Spirit and Damallsvenskan is very classy."

She could make her debut in Eskilstuna United's opening match against Djurgården on the 14th of April when the 2017-18 Damallsvenskan season serves off.
