Acting coach of Ghana senior women's football team, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo expects a tough test from Japan in tomorrow's international friendly match.
Ghana will return to action after winning the first edition of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Women's Cup in grand style, defeating hosts Côte d'Ivoire 1-0 in the final game.
Tagoe-Quarcoo who led the national side to glory in Abidjan last month, is excited about the friendly with the Japanese team which takes place at the Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki.
"We are very honoured for this great opportunity. Japan is a wonderful country and the people here are full with hospitality. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Japan, so it is a dream come true for me to be here," said the 44-year-old on

"Sunday’s match will serve as an important match for Nadeshiko Japan ahead of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, and I am expecting them to come out strong.
"We are also in preparation ahead of the 2018 CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Ghana. I think Nadeshiko Japan is in a great form right now, so we would like to use this opportunity to prepare and strengthen our team."
In the meantime, the players that will feature in the warm-up match has been revealed, with Tagoe-Quarcoo retaining her title-winning squad.
