Coach David Ouma has named a provisional squad of 26 Kenyan players ahead of the 2018 Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) Women's Championship.

The Kenyans who recently booked their spot in the final round qualifiers for this year's African Women's Cup of Nations in Ghana, will report to camp on April 25 to begin preparations for the regional-tournament.

Coach Ouma have included the attacking duo of Teresa Engesha and Janet Bundi in his squad, following their impressive showings during the AWCON qualifiers against Uganda.

Also on the list are defender Lilian Adera who scored the lone goal against the Ugandans, midfielder Cheris Avilia and sensational striker Esse Akida.

The Harambee Starlets will be looking to go one step further to winning the championship having finished as runners-up in the 2016 edition in Uganda, with a 2-1 loss to Tanzania.

The CECAFA finals which will be played in Rwanda from May 11th - 22nd follows the COSAFA and the WAFU tournaments held in 2017 and 2018 and was won by South Africa and Ghana respectively.
