Rivers Angels coach Edwin Okon is not satisfied with his team's performance after they humbled newly promoted Sure Babes in one of week two fixtures of the Nigeria Women Football League on Wednesday.

Okon watched from the dugout as Rivers Angels downed their visitors from Ilorin 3-1 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium to record their first win of the 2017-18 NWFL season.

Striker Ikechukwu Vivian and midfielders Evelyn Nwabuoku and Mary Saiki were on target for the Jewel of Rivers, while Nnaji Bright grabbed the consolatory goal for Sure Babes.

The former Super Falcons handler was however not pleased with the win, saying his charges played below expectation against a team that paraded experienced players.

"I've always said that you play badly but you win, today we played badly but the three points is the most important," said Okon after the match.

"Sure Babes may be a new team but they have a lots of experienced players.

"I took note of our mistakes today and will definitely work on them before our next game," he added.

The victory took Rivers Angels to the 2nd spot on Group B league table with four points and will next play winless Confluence Queens of Lokoja on April 25.
