Black Princesses forward Princella Adubea could play no part in the forthcoming 2018 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in France.

Adubea who was instrumental for Ghana during the African qualifiers, is nursing a knee injury she sustained while in camp with the Princesses.

She was conspicuously missing from the provisional list released by head coach Yusif Basigi few days ago as the team are expected to begin training next week.

Despite her current situation, Ghana women's football chief, Leanier Addy believes the Ampem Darkoa Ladies player can still make it to the World Cup finals.

Speaking on Ghana local radio station Happy FM, Addy pleaded with the family the 19-year-old youngster to allow their ward undergo surgery on her injured knee.

The Executive Committee top official maintained that Adubea who scored ten goals during the continental qualifiers, would have recovered from the surgicial operation.

“She has not made herself available because, before we went to play Japan in a friendly game, the doctors recommended surgery for her but she said her father has called her home but we insisted on the surgery. If she had done it by then, she would have recovered.”

Adubea, though, is not the only injured player in Black Princesses' team; Naomi Anima, Uheza, Gladys Amfobea and Adizatu Mustapha are also sidelined.

“I am pleading with parents to allow their children accept surgeries. The Football Association has sponsored most players to undergo successful surgeries and it does not affect their career,” Addy added.

The biennial global soccer women's event will take place between the 5th and 24th of August in France across four cities.
