Ghanian playmaker Elizabeth Addo was named the Player of the Match in Seattle Reign 4-1 defeat to North Carolina Courage in the National Women Soccer League on Saturday.
Playing in her debut season in the NWSL, Addo has been able to distinguished herself from others with her dazzling skills and footworks in the midfield for Reign.
The Black Queens skipper lasted the entire duration for her team who struck first through Megan Oyster but eventually lost to league-leaders NC Courage.
It was the 24-year-old seventh appearance of the season, since joining the club from Swedish side Kvarnsveden IK and she has been enjoying a brilliant start to life in USA.
Elsewhere in the States, Nigerian star Francisca Ordega was in action for Washington Spirit who were 1-0 losers to Orlando Pride.
Alanna Kennedy scored the match winner on the 11th minute which accounted for Spirit's eighth defeat in 14 games this term and sees the team placed eight on the league log.
While Janine van Wyk, Linda Motlhalo and Thembi Kgatlana's Houston Dash lost 3-1 to Portland Thorns at the BBVA Compass Stadium.
Sofia Huerta's 12th minute equaliser proved nothing as further goals from Ana-Maria Crnogorcervic and Christine Sinclair claimed the maximum points for Portland.
Matches will continue on Thursday, June 28, where the five African stars will be bidding to help their respective clubs get favourable results leading to the NWSL championship playoffs.
