Temwa Chawinga continued with her excellent form this campaign for Kvarnsveden IK in the Swedish women's lower league, Elitettan.
Chawinga scored her fourth brace of the season as Kvarnsveden pipped Nigerian pair of Halimatu Ayinde and Josephine Chukwunonye's Asarum IF 5-1.
The young Malawian inspired her team to the second position on the league standings after finding the net on the 6th and 62nd minutes respectively to take her tally to 16 goals.
Still in the Elitettan, former Nigerian youth star Sarah Michael turned out for Lidköping who beat Böljan 4-0 thanks to Shannon Horgan's 49th minute penalty sandwiched with Alice Andersson, Taylor Townsend and Sandra Lagerbratt's strikes.
While Nigeria international striker Ebere Orji lasted for 64 minutes before she was replaced with Amanda Jansson in Mallbackens IF's goalless draw with Ljusdal.
Moving over to the topflight division in Sweden, the Damallsvenskan where Super Falcons creative midfielder Ngozi Okobi was in action for Eskilstuna United against GIK Vittsjö.
Okobi came on as a second half replacement for Cajsa Åkerberg as Eskilstuna played a 1-1 draw with Vittsjö whose Nigerian defender Osinachi Ohale was an unused substitute.
Elsewhere, Amanda Edgren's double on the either side of the game for Kristianstad DFF condemned Faith Ikidi's Pitea IF to their second successive league defeat.
Kristianstad had in their lineup Nigeria internationals Rita Chikwelu and Ogonna Chukwudi who were later subbed, while Ikidi lasted the entire duration for her side.
In China, Asisat Oshoala netted in her second successive game for Dalian Quanjian who edged out Shanghai Shenhua 3-1 in the first round of the Chinese Women's FA Cup quarter finals.
But it was a different story for her compatriot Onome Ebi whose club Henan Huishang fell 3-1 to Changchun in the cup competition.
