Portuguese giants FC Porto have completed the loan signing of Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali from English outfit Arsenal.
Porto through their official website announced the arrival of Nwakali to the Estádio do Dragão where he will play his club football for the next 12 months.
During his unveiling as a Porto player, the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner said: ''My main goal is to develop and evolve as a player, improve my qualities and the other aspects that I know I need to correct to grow in the way I play.
''I think FC Porto is the right place to evolve as a player. There are good players, young people, and I think I'll grow up here. I hope everything good from FC Porto."
Speaking further, the 20-year-old who is still contracted to the Gunners until June 2021, hopes to meet one of his football idols, former Portugal international Deco.
"I know FC Porto very well, because one of my idols in football played here: Deco.
''I loved to watch him play and I really enjoyed one day being able to meet him and tell him the importance he had in my desire to be a football player,'' he added.
He joined Arsenal in 2015 after his exploits at the U17 world cup finals in Chile but has been sent out on loan to Dutch clubs MVV Maastricht and VVV Venlo as he is yet to make his debut for the Premier League side.
On the international scene, Nwakali played his first match for the Super Eagles team B and scored in a goal in the team's 3-2 friendly loss to Atletico de Madrid in May 2018.
