Galatasaray have finally landed Nigeria international striker Henry Onyekuru on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton.

The Turkish club on Monday through their official Twitter handle announced that they have began discussions with Everton over a temporary switch for Onyekuru.

The 21 years old will defend the colours of the Yellow and Red outfit for the next 12 months and he becomes the second Nigerian to play for the Istanbul giants after retired Nigeria international Dominic Iorfa.

The youngster joined the Toffees in June 2017 from KAS Eupen of Belgium for a fee of £7m but was shipped out to Anderlecht on loan due to work permit issues.

At Anderlecht, he scored nine goals in 19 appearances before a serious knee injury ended his campaign suddenly, which saw him missed out on the Nigeria's Super Eagles squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Eagles wonderkid has since linked up with his Galatasaray teammates who are currently holding their preseason campaign in Switzerland ahead of the 2018-19 Super Lig term which serves off on August 11.
