Some of Africa's finest female footballers starred for their respective clubs over the weekend as action continued in the women's soccer game in Europe.

In Norway's Toppeserien, Cameroon international striker Gaelle Enganamouit played full match and netted on 67th minute as Alvadness were held to a 2-2 home draw by Røa.

It was the 26-year-old third goal in six matches since joining the club in May from Chinese Women Super League outfit Dalian Quanjian.

Still in the Toppeserien, Enganamouit's compatriot Ajara Nchout added to her tally this season after scoring Sandviken's only goal in their 3-1 loss to visitors Stabæk.

Nchout who has been a regular starter, drew level for her team in the first half, her sixth goal this term but further strikes from Andrea Wilmann and Guro Bergsvand gave Stabæk the maximum points.


Moving over to the Damallsvenskan in Sweden, Super Falcons veteran defender Faith Ikidi played no part in Pitea IF's 4-1 loss to Vittsjö GIK who have Osinachi Ohale on their roster.

Lorina White, Sandra Adolfsson, Michelle De Jongh and Linda Sällström goals cancelled out Julia Karlenäs' opener as Pitea were condemned to their third successive league defeat, though, Ohale was an unused substitute.

Elsewhere in the Damallsvenskan, Rita Chikwelu and Ogonna Chukwudi of Nigeria featured in Kristianstad DFF's 1-1 draw at Djurgården.

It was the duo tenth appearance of the campaign, in a game where Alice Nilsson struck first for Kristianstad before Sheila van den Bulk converted from the penalty spot to earn a point for Djurgården whose Ghanian midfielder Portia Boakye lasted the entire duration.

Mimmi Larsson provided a late winner for Ngozi Okobi's Eskilstuna United who were 1-0 victors over hosts Limhamn Bunkeflo 07 at the Limhmans Idrottsplats Stadium.

It was Eskilstuna's fifth win from ten matches this season, though, the team remained on the 11th position of the twelve-team league with eleven points.


In the Elitettan, Swedish second tier league, Nigeria's Josephine Chukwunonye marked her return to club football action in Asarum IF's game against second-placed KIF Örebro.

Chukwunonye had been nursing an injury which kept her out of Asarum's previous matches against Kvarnsveden, Sundsvall and Västerås BK 30.

She and her international teammate Halimatu Ayinde played full match as their team were held to a goalless draw by visiting Örebro.

Former Nigeria youth star Sarah Michael was on the winning side as Lidköping thrashed Umeå IK 5-2 at the Framnäs IP Stadium.

Though, the Nigerian saw 70 minutes of play, Shannon Horgan and Sandra Lagerbratt netted two goals each sandwiched with Kayla Braffet's strike, while Anina Wede scored twice for Umea.

Nigeria international Ebere Orji came in as a second half substitution in Mallbacken IF's 3-3 draw at AIK.

While Malawian youngster Temwa Chawinga's Kvarnsveden IK continued their winning streak with a slim 1-0 victory over Sundsvall DFF.

Karin Winka provided the only goal after the break to see Kvarnsveden recorded their fifth successive win, which sees the team remain ontop of the standings with 28 points, one ahead of KIF Orebro.

Chawinga who has been in a blistering form for Kvarnsveden this season, leads the goals chart with sixteen (16) goals from 12 appearances.
