Nigeria international striker Ini Umotong is excited about the prospect of playing in the topflight women's football league in England.
Umotong and her teammates at Brighton & Hove Albion will compete in the revamped FA Women's Super League when the season kicks off in the weekend of September 8 and 9.
This will see the Super Falcons star face some of the biggest names in the WSL 1, while playing against defending champions Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
“It will be a big step up. We have a few girls that have experience of playing in the top flight, but a lot of us haven’t played in the division before now.
“We had good exposure to it last season playing against Chelsea, Man City and Bristol City, and it’s nice to know we can compete with the best.
“We’re very excited and looking to give it all we have in the Women’s Super League,” she said on the club's official website.
She scored 8 goals in 15 games last term as the Seagulls finished second in WSL 2 in May, though, the club got promoted to the tier one, having successfully bid for a WSL license in the first, closed phase of applications last autumn.
