Premier League outfit Leicester City are reportedly ready to secure the future of Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

According to The Telegraph, Leicester are set to offer Ndidi a new improved contract to see him remain at the King Power Stadium for years to come.

The contract will also fend off interests for the 21 years old who was linked with Liverpool and Arsenal during last summer transfer window.

He joined the Foxes in January 2017 from Belgian side KRC Genk for £15m and has grown in leaps and bounds, having established himself as one of the best defensive midfielder in the topflight league.

The Nigerian had a fantastic World Cup campaign with the Super Eagles, where his 15 tackles were the most of any player in the group stages of finals in Russia.

Despite the claims by The Telegraph, the Lagos-born midfielder is happy at Leicester as he is keen to stay at the club and help them contend for titles.

"A transfer has never been on my mind. I feel very good at Leicester," he was quoted saying during the world cup finals.
