Turkish giants Galatasaray have began formal talks with Premier League club Everton over the signing of Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru.

Galatasaray through a tweet on Monday revealed they have held discussions with Everton regarding a temporary switch for the Nigerian.


The 21 years old joined the Toffees in June 2017 for a reported fee of £7m from AS Eupen but spent last term on loan at Anderlecht where he scored nine times in 19 outings.

Unfortunately, at Anderlecht he sustained a knee injury which kept him out for the much of the rest of the year and subsequently, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The youngster netted over 20 goals during his breakthrough campaign with Eupen in the 2016-17 season and was linked to several clubs including Arsenal before he settled for Everton.

He becomes the second Super Eagles player after Ahmed Musa to be linked in a move to The Yellow and Reds outfit during the summer transfer window.
