Originally called Chelsea Ladies Football Club, it was established in 1992 and has been affiliated with Chelsea Football Club since 2004.
The first team competes in the FA Women's Super League, with the Reserves playing in the FA WSL Development League Southern Division.
Chelsea FC Women is committed to producing a first team capable of challenging the very best sides in the country.
This aim will be achieved by producing players through the Female Centre of Excellence and Academy College Programme with the ability, capability and mentality to perform within the senior sides, supported by attracting high-quality players with international experience.
In 2015, Chelsea won a famous double, becoming champions of the FA Women’s Super League for the first time and winningthe FA Women’s Cup at Wembley Stadium.
The Blues then followed this up by lifting
the FA WSL Spring Series in 2017, and further silverware followed in 2018 in the form of another FA Women's Cup triumph followed by the WSL title, so completing the domestic Double for a second time.
Chelsea also reached the Champions League .semi-finals for the first time in our history
