Japan have won their maiden FIFA U20 Women's World Cup title after defeating Spain 3-1 in the final match played yesterday.

The match served as a sweet revenge for the Japanese young ladies who had lost 1-0 to Spaniards during the group stages of the competition.

Hinata Miyazawa, Saori Takarada and Fuka Nagano scored to give Japan a commanding 3-0 lead before Candela Andujar netted a consolatory goal for Spain on the 71st minute.
