Highly rated Nigerian midfielder Christian Madu has completed a transfer from Enugu Rangers to Portuguese outfit CD Nacional.

Madu joins CD Nacional on a four-year deal after ending his association with the Nigeria Professional Football League side and he is contracted to his new employers until 2022.

The 25 years old was part of Rangers winning squad that won the NPFL title in 2015-16 season, the Flying Antelopes' first in over three decades.

"CD Nacional and Enugu Rangers agreed on the transfer of Christian Madu to Madeira," read a statement on club's website.

"The Nigerian midfielder is, at 25, one of his country's references in this position, and has signed a four-year contract with Nacional."

Madu could play his first competitive game in the colours of CD Nacional when the team confronts Victoria Setubal in a league clash on Sunday.
