Former Manchester City and Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure is on the verge of returning to Olympiakos despite claims by his agent, Dimitri Seluk.
Toure has been without a club, having left City at the end of last term after eight years at the Ethihad, where he won seven trophies.
On Tuesday, his representative Seluk took to Twitter to reveal that the 35-year-old is close to signing for a London side after passing a medical.
"Toure @YayaToure has passed a medical in London. Yaya is close to signing a new contract," he tweeted.
But the Mirror Football has now reported that the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winner has agreed to continue his career with Olympiakos.
The Ivorian ace joined the Greek giants in 2005 and won a double before moving to AS Monaco of France after the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
The versatile midfielder went on to join Barcelona a year later and then moved to City in 2010 and won three Premier Leagues, one FA Cup and three League Cups.
The Mirror furthered stated that Toure will earn in the region of £2m after tax in Greece.
