Zambia on Sunday became the first nation to arrive in the South African coastal town ahead of the regional COSAFA Women's Championship.
The Zambian delegation headed by Rix Mweembe, were welcomed by COSAFA secretary general Sue Destombes and chairman of competitions committee Timothy Shongwe.
The She-Polopolo as they are nicknamed and coached by Beauty Mwamba comes into the tournament with a boost of confidence, having qualified for this year's Africa Women's Cup of Nations.
Mwamba recently announced her final squad of 20-players that will represent the country at the COSAFA finals where they have been pooled with Cameroon, Lesotho and Mozambique in Group B.
And she remains optimistic that She-Polopolo will go one step further than bronze, by lifting the trophy this year after they finished third during the last edition in Zimbabwe.
Elsewhere, coach of Uganda's Crested Cranes, Faridah Bulega have also named her team squad for event that slated for September 12 to 22.
Uganda, guests at the Southern African championship alongside continental powerhouse Cameroon, are in Group C with Swaziland, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
The Crested Cranes parades a youthful squad of players likes captain Akiror Tracy Jones and goalkeeper Ruth Aturo who helped the team reached the final of the 2018 CECAFA Women's Championship, before losing to Tanzania.
The Ugandan team having been holding camp at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, perfecting their strategies for the competition and according to Jones; they are ready to go.
