(Aubameyang and his father)

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has again publicly criticised the Gabonese Football Federation over the appointment of his father, Pierre François as head coach of the national team.

Aubameyang has underlined the fact that the FEGAFOOT did not have his father's agreement, neither did they take into consideration his health issues when unveiling him last Wednesday alongside Daniel Cousin as his assistant.

The former Borussia Dortmund goal poacher has in the recent times fustigated the football federation's way of functionning, qualifying the structure as "amateur".

"You are asking yourselves why I have issues with You? Why I did not want to be playing anymore with the national team?" He began on his verified Instagram page.

"You're announcing to the whole world about my father being a national team coach when you didn't even get his deal!

"The president of the Federation had a phone talk with my father and did not even enquire over his health status! He rushed for a press conference while my dad had to response him the next day, and surely his answer was not a favorable.

"The day the federation won't be acting amateurists anymore, may be the National Team will be going forward and we will be having good results."

FEGAFOOT on their part replied by saying that they have in accordance with the Ministry of Sports and they have opened a consultation with all the local coaches in the view of creating a college of trainers for the senior team including Aubameyang himself.

Despite the latter's presence in London for health issues, the president of the federation effectively phoned him and his response was awaited for Thursday afternoon.

But the Gabonese Sports Minister instructed the board of the federation to unveil the technical staff on Wednesday night and FEGAFOOT could not act against the hierarchy.

Aubameyang's father was serving as assistant to former Real Madrid manager Jose Antonio Camacho who took over the Panthers of Gabon one month before the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.

The spaniard was fired following the team recent poor performances and because of the growing lack of interest showed by Gaboneses over their national team.

Pierre François Aubemayang played as a defender during his active days and appeared 82 times for the Panthers of Gabon, including the 1994 and 1996 AFCONs.

He plied his trade mostly in France with teams like Stade Lavallois and OGC Nice and also had brief stints in Colombia and Italy.

Gabon with just one point in two games, lie third in their group of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers behind Mali and Burundi, will be away to South Sudan in their next game.
