HNK Gorica of Croatia has completed the official signing of Nigeria international defender Godfrey Oboabona.

 Oboabona, 28, joins HNK Gorica on a two-year deal after he was released by Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Ahli, although, the details of his contract with the Croatian side was not disclosed.

He teams up with his fellow countrymen Musa Mohammed and Iyayi Atiemwem at the Velika Gorica-based club and has been handed the number 4 jersey.

He was a member of the victorious Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa and also competed at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Oboabona whose previous teams are Sunshine Stars of Akure and Turkey's Rizespor, last played for Nigeria against Egypt two years ago.
