South Africa's U17 women's national team will benefit from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between La Liga and the South African Football Association.

The Primera Division, popularly known as La Liga have concluded plans to sponsor the Bantwana on a trip to Spain as part of measures to improve the game in the country and the continent at large.

The tour of Spain is among other initiatives between SAFA and La Liga and it will serve as part of preparations for coach Simphiwe Dludlu's side ahead of their participation in this year's FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.

The team are expected to leave for Spain this Thursday and have been scheduled to play two friendlies with Levante UD and Valencia on September 24th and 26th.

Speaking on the gesture, SAFA president Danny Jordaan has urged the players to take the advantage of the opportunity presented to them.

"In LaLiga, we have honest and dedicated partners. They have made a number of undertakings – taking our U17 girls to Spain is one of such cooperation which we are really proud of," said Dr Jordaan on SAFA's website.

"They can only become better players by playing against top sides in Europe and I want to thank LaLiga for making this trip possible.”

South Africa along with Ghana and Cameroon will represent the continent when the competition is played between November 13 to December 1, 2018 in Uruguay.
