Robo Queens captain Rasheedat Ajibade scored a double brace to propel her team to a comfortable 4-0 drubbing of Abia Angels in a league clash in Lagos.

Action in the Nigeria Women Football League resumed on Wednesday after a three-month break and Ajibade was the stand-out player of the week.

The Falconets star opened the flood gate of goals on the stroke of half time, benefiting from a low pass by her teammate before slotting the ball pass the keeper.

Abia Angels tried to find their back into the contest after the break but they were undone when Ajibade struck thrice to put the game beyond their visitors.

In Uyo, Ibom Angels suffered their first home defeat of the term, going down 1-0 to Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt thanks to Vivian Ikechukwu 20th minute strike.

Delta Queens continued with their unbeaten run this season with a 3-1 resounding victory over Heartland Queens in Asaba.

Kemi Odubanjo bagged Heartland Queens consolatory goal as the team from Owerri bowed down in defeat to the Asaba landladies thanks Rose Ekong, Olubukola Ogunnoiki and Maryann Ohadiwe strikes.

Hosts Sure Babes of Ilorin were beaten 2-0 by visitors Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens claimed a 1-0 victory over Edo Queens in Lokoja.

Pelican Stars accounted for Jokodolu Babes defeat with a 3-1 win, while the matches between Osun Babes versus Sunshine Queens, Adamawa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons produced no goals.
