Through their official website, Uganda have confirmed a friendly match with Nigeria which comes up on Tuesday, November 20 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The encounter takes place three days after both teams' 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa in Johannesburg and Cape Verde at the Namboole Stadium.
''The Uganda Cranes technical team will make use of the FIFA International break that runs from 12th-20th November by playing a high profile friendly with the former African Champions,'' FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein stated.
''Matches between these two soccer giants have always been so close since time immemorial.
''A 30man contingent will depart on 18th November 2018 for the trip to Nigeria. The foreign based players in the contingent will then connect to their respective clubs after the friendly''.
The two teams who are vying for spots in next year's AFCON in Cameroon, leads their respective qualifying groups after four round of matches.
Super Eagles of Nigeria are placed first in Group E with nine points and they need a win in their remaining ties against South Africa and Seychelles to secure their ticket.
A draw against Cape Verde will see Uganda's Cranes who sit top of Group L with 10 points, qualify for the continental competition.
The last time both sides faced off in 2015 at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo, Uganda edged out Nigeria by a lone goal.
