Severino Besscu Rondo, coach of Equatorial Guinea women's team have released a list consisting 25 players to kick start preparations towards this month's Africa Women Cup of Nations.

The Nzalang Nacional as they are referred to, held their first training session yesterday at the Estadio la Paz de Malabo under the guidance of assistant coach Pastor Elà Mba.

Equatorial Guinea were initially disqualified from competing in the AWCON after a complaint was deposited by Kenya Football Federation over the identities and nationalities of nine players of the Nzalang team.

However, it appeared that it was only former BIIK Kazygurt player Annette Jacky Mossomo who was not eligible to play for the Equatoguineans after Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and their Kenyan counterparts showed proof of the nationality of the midfielder.

But the decision was overturned by CAF's disciplinary committee who reinstated Equatorial Guinea and excluded Kenya with the effective authenticity of Messomo's Guinean nationality at the great satisfaction of FEGUIFUT president Gustavo Ndong Edu team captain Genoveva Ayongman

The veteran striker who won the continental title in 2008 and 2012, thinks despite having a new team with many new faces  and little time to prepare, they have a mindset of displaying good games in Ghana.

The Nzalang Nacional are placed in Group B alongside fierce rivals and defending champions Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia.
