In a bid to see Super Falcons get the best preparation prior to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, the Nigeria Football Federation have confirmed that the team will play ten friendly matches.
According to the NFF, the Falcons who began training camp on Wednesday in Abuja, have been scheduled to take part in a four-nation women's invitational tournament in China.
At the invitational tournament set to hold between January 17 to 20, the reigning African champions will face hosts China, Romania and 2019 Women's World Cup group stage foes South Korea.
On Tuesday, January 8, players and officials of Nigeria's senior women team were at the Embassy of China in Abuja for visa processing as they are expected to depart for China next Monday.
After their participation at the Chinese tournament, Super Falcons will continue with their preparation for the global showpiece with another invitational tournament in Cyprus from February 25th to March 7th.
The Cyprus Women's Cup is a 12-nation women's football tourney, where Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Italy, North Korea, Mexico, Slovakia, South Africa, Thailand alongside Nigeria are billed to compete.
The NFF also confirmed that World Cup-bound campaigner Jamaica have written to express their interest in playing Super Falcons in a warm-up game, while the team could also face Spain or Canada in a friendly match.
Super Falcons who emerged winners of the Women's National Team of Year 2018 in Africa at the Aiteo-CAF African Football Awards ceremony last Tuesday in Senegal, will hold their final training camp in Austria, where the team could also play two preparatory games.
