Coach Salisu Yusuf is expected to invite new players into his home-based Super Eagles side as the country prepares to participate at next year's African Nations Championship in Morocco.

Their camp have been moved to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja following their success at the NPFL Super Six Invitational Tournament in Kano state.

The Eagles last Sunday defeated MFM FC 3-2 to emerge champions of the invitational tournament played at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

An excited Yusuf praised his players for winning the soccer competition but insists that the loopholes in the squad will be corrected as the team moves into the second phase of preparations.

“I am very impressed with the team. We did not have any elaborate preparation before the Super Six tournament and yet these boys raised their game, improved with every match and won the trophy. I congratulate them but this is the beginning of real hard work for us," he said on thenff.com

“We will begin the next phase of preparations immediately. We want to also see some new players in certain positions and correct some mistakes we made during some of our games in Kano while strengthening and consolidating on our strong areas.”

They will be lodged at the Bolton White Hotels and Apartment for the final round of their preparations before departing for Morocco in the first week of January 2018.
