Nigeria's Super Falcons will not take part in the 2018 Turkish Women's Cup which begins this week.

Organisers of the tournament, Evima Football Agency cancelled Nigeria of her participation interest following its inability to secure entry visas for travelling players to the European country.

Falcons were scheduled to depart for the hosts nation today prior to their opener against Kazakhstan on Wednesday, February 28.

They were also billed to play France B and Kosovo A in Group B of the event, in what would have been their second outing in 2018 after winning bronze in the first edition of WAFU Women's Cup in Côte d'Ivoire.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were yet to release an official statement as at the time of filling this report.

The team under the guidance of coach Thomas Dennerby will now shift attention to their upcoming international friendly match with France on April 4 in Paris.

And thereafter, the reigning African champions will begin their qualifying campaign for the 2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations in Ghana.
