Cameroonian forward Gaëlle Enganamouit and Uganda star Jean Sseninde took part in a charity game involving Africa XI team versus Morocco legends.

The game which was played in Marrakech after the first-ever Confederation of African Football (CAF) women's football symposium, saw a host of ex-internationals in action.

Former South African defender Lucas Radebe teamed up with Kalusha Bwalya, Stephen Appiah, Daniel Amokachi, Geremi Njitap and Aboubacar "Titi" Camara to play against Moroccan legends.

Aside Enganamouit and Sseninde, interim head coach of Black Queens of Ghana, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo were the only females to have featured in the match.

In a related story, CAF's president Ahmad Ahmad said proposals discussed during the Women's Football Symposium will be looked into, as he hopes to help promote the development of the women's game in Africa.

The two days ground breaking event had in attendance former and current footballers, coaches, referees, members of the media and experts from FIFA and other confederations as well as representatives of each member association of CAF.

Ahmad in his closing remarks stated that a complete analysis of the various recommendations will be reviewed by the newly established CAF Women's Football Department.

"I said in my opening speech that if necessary, we will break all the taboos to help promote the women's game in Africa. For our supreme duty is to be faithful to our promises and to the impressive resolutions taken here today.

"What you have discussed during these two days, what you have proposed, what you have retained in the title of resolutions, will be the subject of a complete analysis by the new department of women's football which has just been created.

"I tell you frankly: I will be this president who will have made every effort to achieve the objectives set."
