South Africa today played out a scoreless draw with Korea DPR in the last group game at the ongoing 2018 Cyprus Women's Cup.
The result saw Banyana Banyana finished second in their group on five points, two behind leaders Korea DPR after three rounds of matches.
The South Africans under the guidance of coach Desiree Ellis drew 0-0 with Slovakia in their opening fixture before defeating Hungary by 1-0 in their previous Group C clash.
Ellis made four changes to her starting line-up against the Koreans, giving Kylian Swart the nod in goal ahead of Andile Dlamini and Roxanne Barker who had kept in the games against Slovakia and Hungary.
Regina Moholoa played her first game in the tournament as the preferred right-back defender, while Lendra Smeda returned to complete the back four.
Youngster Linda Motlhalo came in for Sduduzo Dlamini after the latter missed out on the Hungary encounter last week.
Banyana Banyana first chance at goal fell to Motlhalo who saw her effort saved after South African keeper Swart had denied the Koreans earlier in the game.
In the second half, substitute Jermaine Seoposenwe almost opened scoring for Ellis' side but her header went over the crossbar as the match later ended at 0-0.
South Africa will now contest for position five or six against a yet to be determined opponent in their final game of the Cyprus Cup on March 7.
