Match day two of the Nigeria Women Football League will hold on Wednesday, April 18 and Rivers Angels will be at the Yakubu Gowon to welcome newly promoted side Sure Babes at 4pm.

Having started their 2017/2018 campaign on the road where they held Delta Queens to a goalless draw in Kwale a fortnight ago, the Jewel of Rivers will be hoping to secure maximum points against the Ilorin based side.

Head Coach, Edwin Okon says they will work on their mistake from the previous game ahead of Wednesday's encounter and believes his team will play better as well.

"I've always said it that Port Harcourt is one ground you'll get fair officiating and good football," Okon said.

"I don't encourage my players to rely on match officials because we work really hard.

"We've worked on our mistakes from the previous game and I'm confident the game on Wednesday will be better," he added.

Wednesday's meeting with Sure Babes is the first time both sides will be playing each other in the league.

The newly promoted Babes defeated Heartland Queens 1-0 in their first game last Thursday in Ilorin while Angels were forced to a controversial 0-0 draw at Delta Queens.
