Makore in celebration mood at the 2017 COSAFA Championship
Coach Sithethelelwe Sibanda has recalled striker Rutendo Makore to Zimbabwe women senior squad for their 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers against Zambia.
Zimbabwe will travel to Zambia for the first leg tie billed for the 6th of June before the deciding fixture is played on June 10th at the Rufaro Stadium, with Rutendo likely to be in action.
She missed the Mighty Warriors previous AWCON qualifying matches against Namibia as a result of an ankle injury she suffered while at her former club Sporting Huelva of Spain.
Coach Sibanda kept the majority of the players who featured in the games against the Namibian team in his 26-man squad and they are expected to begin preparations in earnest.
The invited players will converge at the ZIFA Village tomorrow, May 30 and their training programme will commence the following day.
