Tryonne Ebuehi has become the latest Nigerian footballer to switch clubs after completing a move to Portuguese giants SL Benfica.
Ebuehi whose contract at ADO Den Haag will expire in June 2018, penned a five-year deal with Benfica, thus ending his five years association with the Dutch side.
Several European teams were interested in the 22 years old and it was further reported that the Nigeria international had agreed to join Championship outfit Norwich City in the winter transfer window.
The right-back defender who is set to play outside Netherlands for the first time, told his new club's website how excited he is to have signed for them.
"It is a feeling of great happiness to join a massive club like Benfica," Ebuehi told the club's official website.
"It's a dream come true and a big step in my young career. Benfica is a great club with excellent facilities and is known all over the world.
"The fact that the club plays on the big stage was very appealing to me. In fact, it was very easy to choose Benfica."
Born in the Netherlands to a Nigerian father and Dutch mother, Tryonne Ebuehi started his professional career with ADO Den Haag and scored once in 82 outings.
The defender who also played for the youth teams of SV Hoofddrop, VV Young Boys and HFC EDO has featured in four matches for the Super Eagles of Nigeria since making his debut in June 2017 in a friendly with Togo.
He was recently included in Nigeria's 30-man provisional list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia by head coach Gernot Rohr.
