Tanzania-based player Mukamana Clementine headlines Rwanda's provisional squad for the 2018 CECAFA Women Challenge Cup.

Clementine who previously suited out for AS Kigali led 23 other players, as summoned by head coach Kayiranga Jean Baptista to camp for early preparation ahead of the competition.

Also making the list are players from local league champions AS Kigali WFC, Scandinavia WFC, Kamonyi WFC and Rambura WFC.


The ladies arrived in camp on Monday evening at the LA Palisse Hotel in Nyamata and held their first training session the following day at the Stade de Kigali.

The team who are scheduled to open their campaign against cup holders Tanzania, will remain in camp until the 18th of July as they continue to perfect their strategies.

They become the third team after Kenya and Uganda to announce her provisional squad for the one-week regional tournament which will also see Ethiopia as one of the competitors.

The finals will be played in a round-robin format between the five nations at the Stade de Kigali, where the eventual winners will be determined.
