2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations winner Ngozi Ebere has signed a contract with Arna-Bjørnar, a statement on the club's official website read.

Ebere moves to the Norwegian side from Barcelona FA of Cyprus, the club she joined in November 2017 after spending two years at French topflight outfit Paris Saint German.

The 27-year-old who has been a member of Nigeria's Super Falcons since 2012, will be looking forward to the new challenge and helping her new team contend for silverwares.

A regular at Barcelona FA, the former Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt player scored six times in 15 league matches as the team won their maiden Cypriot First Division title.

She also helped them to their first-ever Women's Super Cup title after they defeated seven-time champions Apollon Limassol in the final match last September.

Prior to her move to PSG, she won a double, the Nigeria Women Premier League and Federation Cup titles with Rivers Angels in 2014.

With more than 30 caps and three goals to her name in the national team, Ebere was part of the Nigerian squad that won back-to-back AWCON trophies in 2014 and 2016.

She played at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada where the Super Falcons failed to get pass the group stage after losing to Australia and USA coupled with a 3-3 draw with Sweden.

She was nominated for the 2015 CAF African Woman Player of the Year alongside Cameroonian stars Gaelle Enganamouit and Gabrielle Onguene, though, she lost to Enganamouit.

Ebere becomes the second Nigerian after Precious Dede to defend the colours of Arna-Bjørnar. She is expected to join her new teammates in Turkey for their preseason tour.
